JAMMU: International Girl child day – A day to celebrate the strength, resilience, and potential of girls while promoting their rights and opportunities.
International Girl Child Day was celebrated at JKPS Panjtirthi with much enthusiasm.
The day aims to focus on the importance of girls’ education, their rights, and promoting gender equality. It urges the global community to move beyond reaffirming commitments and invest boldly in the action needed to make changes that could empower girls. The Incharge of the Celebration, Salochana Raina commenced the celebration and highlighted that, “Females should be treated at par with Men and should get all the opportunities in our society for the welfare of the Nation as a whole.”

Jakiians sang a group song with the message, “Empowering girls is not just a matter of social justice; it is a fundamental building block for a better world.”
Jakiians explained the key benefits of empowering girls.
Jakiians highlighted the theme for International Day of the Girl Child 2024 “Girls’ Vision for the Future.” The goal is to encourage everyone to help girls to reach their full potential so that they can lead and succeed happily.
Jakiians exhibited a skit to spotlight the difficulties girls encounter and different ways to advocate for their rights and empowerment. “
A jakian culminated the celebration by saying,”Let’s honour their voices, support their aspirations, and make sure they have the chance to shape their futures. Together, we can make a difference and build a brighter future for all girls.”
Jakiians lauded few slogans like
“Empower Girls, Change the World.”
“Every Girl’s Dream Matters.”
“Invest in Girls: Build a Brighter Future.”
“Girls’ Rights Are Human Rights.”
“Support Her Journey to Success.” Etc.
