JAMMU: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), annual inter-school competitions in the discipline of fencing boys under-17 age group of Jammu District was held at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The competition in other sports disciplines of Taekwondo, Squay Martal Art, Thang Tha, Wushu was also scheduled for today at the MA Stadium, a handout issued here informed.
In all, 73 boys drawn from all the government and private institutions of district Jammu are taking part in this competition.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by District Sports Officer, Chanchal Kour. The fencing competition was officiated by the Technical Panel comprising of Shefali Gupta, Ujjwal Gupta, Anthony Matoo, Abdul Quadir and Tonny Matoo.

FENCING: Under-19: SABRE: Mayank, Ist; Saryansh, 2nd; Lakshay and Abhijay, joint 3rd. UNDER-14: EPEE: Krishanshu, Ist; Devang, 2nd; Varun and Sunanvay, joint 3rd. SABRE: Sachin, Ist; Tarun, 2nd; Sarthak and Chankaya, joint 3rd.
