JAMMU: Semifinals lineup has been drawn in inter-school under-19 boys’ badminton competition of Jammu District with the entry of Government SRML Higher Secondary School, BSF Paloura, Army Public School (APS) Jammu Cantonment and APS Kaluchak.
Now, in the semifinals, to be played tomorrow, BSF Paloura shall take on APS Kaluchak while SRML shall be playing against APS Jammu Cantonment.
The Results: Preliminary Round: APS Kaluchak beat MIER 2-0; BSF Paloura defeated APS Domana 2-0; SRML blanked JK Public School Kunjwani 2-0; APS Jammu Cantonment trounced Jankinath HSS 2-0.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Kiran Jyoti, Sanjay Khajuria, Vikram Jamwal, Tarundeep Singh, Harpreet Bhalla, Amit and Mohd. Ashraf.
Meanwhile, in under-19 boys’ chess competition semifinals position has been cleared. Ishan of MIER, Sohail Singh of BSF Paloura, Anuj Chahal of DBN Amarvilla and Varinder Singh Chib of KC Public School have made it to the semis.
In the semifinals, Ishan shall take on Varinder Singh Chib while Anuj Chahal shall meet Varinder Singh tomorrow.
The Results: Quarterfinals: Ishan of MIER beat Kanaw of APS Kaluchak; Sahil of BSF Paloura defeated Shubum APS Miran Sahib; Anuj of DBN blanked Nitin of MIER; Virender Singh of KC Public School outplayed Nitin Koul of APS Domana.
