KATHUA: As per the annual activity calendar for the year 2016-17 issued from the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua organised inter- school district level athletic meet for U-14 and 17 girls at Sports Stadium, here on Thursday.
On the second consecutive day of the tournament, a total of 57 girl students from 12 schools including three private schools participated.
Today’s results
Under-14: 100 mtrs: Shirana Akhtar, MS Chack Drabh Khan 1st, Tanyia Devi, HS Govindsar 2nd and Beeran Devi, MS Janglote 3rd. 200 mtrs: Anita Rani, HS Bhedblore 1st, Madhu Devi, MS Ghagroore 2nd and Soni Devi, MS Chann Khaerian 3rd. 400 mtrs: Preeti Devi, MS Chan Khaterian 1st, Mareena Bibi, MS Dhanna 2nd and Jeelo, HSS Keerian 3rd. 600 mtrs: Neha Devi, HS Nagri Parole 1st, Kanu Devi, HS Tridwan 2nd and Tanu Devi, MS Karroh 3rd. Long Jump: Priya Devi, MS Chandwan 1st, Preeti Devi, MS Changi 2nd and Dhiya, MS Parngoli 3rd. High Jump: Renu Devi, MS Kattal Brahmna 1st, Gorkha Bano, MS Jugial 2nd and Shardha Devi, MS Nagri Parole 3rd.
Under-17: 400 mtr: Position Mira Devi, HS Gurha Mundian 1st, Suman Bala, HS Basantpur 2nd and Shivani Verma, HS Nagri Parole 3rd. 800 mtrs: Parveen Akhtar, HSS Kathera 1st, Neelam Devi, HS Kharote 2nd and Monika Devi, HS Tridwan 3rd. 1500 mtrs: Billi, HS Dinga Amb 1st, Parveen Akhtar, HSS Kathera 2nd and Babhita , HS Kootah 3rd. 3000 mtrs: Bandhana Devi, HS Bhallar 1st, Neelam Devi, Kailash Model Khanpur 2ndand Gitika , HS Tridwan 3rd.
The competitions were officiated by Sukh Ram, Pankaj Spolia, Lucky Sharma, Vinod Devi, Rimpy Devi, Bharti Devi, Pinky Devi, Parveen Singh, Joginder Kumar, Kajol Premi, Mohan Lal.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, DYSSO Kathua.
