JAMMU: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana won the inter-school under-17 boys’ basketball title of district Samba. The event was organised by Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Kristu Jyoti Convent High School.
In the title clash, Humanity School trounced Rich Harvest High School, Bari Brahmana by a margin of 15 points.
Earlier, five teams comprising 41 cagers took part in this event which was declared open by Principal of Kristu Jyoti Convent School, Sister Archana, who interacted with the participating teams. She was accompanied by District Officer, Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Among others present were Rakesh Verma, B.D Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh, all Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs). All present were Anirudh Singh Slathia, Rekha Sambyal, Raju Sharma, Suman Raj Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Davinder Singh (Dhanu) and Madhuri Jamwal.
