UDHAMPUR: Organised by Department Youth Services and Sports, Zonal Level Inter-School Athletic Meet of Tikri Zone for the year 2016-17 got underway at Government Higher Secondary School Tikri, here on Monday.
The meet is being held under the guidance of Ashok Kumar, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Tikri and over all supervision of Sudesh Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Udhampur.
The events were officiated by the technical panel comprising Kuldeep Sharma, Neelam Devi, Shukla Devi, Som Dev, Raj Kumar, Kulbushan Sharma, Kafeel Ahmed, Ajay Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Pushpinder Singh, Raman Gupta, Dharminder Singh, Meenu, Shashi Kumar, Gita Devi and Anita.
In all 100 boys drawn from 11 institutions are competing in U/14 and U/17 Athletic meet.
Kamla Kumari, Principal of the host School, was the Chief Guest who declared the meet open.

UNDER-17 100mtrs: Nishant RK Public School Seen Bharmana 1st, Narindar Kumar GHS Seen Bharmana 2nd and Gautam Singh GHSS Tikri 3rd. 200mtrs: Romit Sharma GHS Seen Bharmana 1st, Abhishek GHSS Tikri 2nd and Akhil GHS Kotli Jijjn 3rd. High Jump: Mohd. Arif GHS Mand 1st, Abhishek GHSS Tikri 2nd and Sandeep Singh GHS Kotli Jijjn 3rd. Long Jump: Nishant RK Public Seen Bharmana 1st, Mohd Tariq GHS Chiryai 2nd and Pritam GHS Mand 3rd. Shot-put: Romit Sharma GHS Seen Bharmana 1st, Pritam GHS Mand 2nd and Yash Paul GHS Chiryai 3rd.
