KATHUA: Budding wrestlers of Jammu District displayed fine talent and win in many categories in the Inter district Division Level tournaments in the discipline of under-19 wrestling being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium, here on Thursday.
The tournament is being held under the direction of Joint Director YSS Madan Lal. DYSSO Kathua Sunil Kumar is Organising Secretary and Joginder Kumar Khajuria is Assistant Organising Secretary of the tournament.
A total of 101 players of six districts viz Kathua, Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi and Doda participated in today’s event in which 32 bouts of under-19 boys were held.
The bouts were officiated by the technical panel comprising Sandeep Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Punjab Singh, Mandeep Singh, Pankaj Sapolia and Sanjeev Singh officiated the events. Mohan Lal Dub, Joginder Khajuria, Raghbir Puri, Tilak Raj, Rakesh Kumari and Rani Andotra were also present.

U/19 BOYS Upto 42 Kg: Ravi Kumar of Jammu trounced Rish Paul Singh of Reasi; below 46 kg: Ravinder Paul of Reasi trounced Rakesh Sharma of Jammu; 50Kg: Aman Sandhu of Jammu thrashed Sandeep Singh of Samba; 55 kg: Gagandeep Rumbal of Jammu smashed Bagh Hussain of Kathua; 60 kg: Chander Dev of Reasi crushed Sewa Ram of Doda; 66kg: Shakeel Ahmed of Udhampur trounced Lovely Sharma of Kathua; 74 kg: Sandeep Singh of Jammu beat Akhil of Kathua; 84 kg: Ankush Sharma of Jammu outplayed Keshav Sharma of Kathua; 96 kg: Surinder Singh of Jammu thrashed Rohit Kumar of Samba.
