NAGROTA: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, the Divisional level Inter District Tournament in the discipline of Kabaddi for girls under all age group commenced at Youth hostel Nagrota, near here on Sunday.
The tournament is being organised under the patronage of Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, Director Youth Services and Sports and the chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports.
Earlier, Jarpal Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Ramban, who is also Organising Secretary of the tournament, and Dr. Swarn Singh DYSSO Reasi blessed the players before the opening of the tournament.
In all under 175 players drawn from Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch Districts are participating in the tournament.
The matches were officiated by Mir Alam, Tour Kumar, Basharat Khan, Vikram Singh, Subash Chander, Tahir Bhat, Mahesh Khajuria, Shashi Bala, Arti Sharma and Niharika.
Others present were ZPEO Veer Ji Bhat, Manohar Lal, Ajay Tandon and Vijay Kumar.

U/14: Kathua defeated Udhampur by 16 (23-07) points; Samba defeated Reasi by 26 (43-18) points; Rajouri beat Kathua by 20 (30-10) points; Samba outplayed Jammu by eight (34-26) points.
U/17: Rajouri defeated Reasi by 11 (40-29) points; Jammu outplayed Kathua by 18 (39-21) points; Rajouri trounced Samba by 18 (47-29) points.
U/19: Jammu defeated Samba by two (33-31) points; Reasi blanked Poonch by 18 (53-35) points; Jammu downed Udhampur by 21 (36-15) points; Kathua blanked Reasi by two (36-34) points.
