Initiate investigation against BoDs of CCB, hold fresh elections: SRS

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Alleging that Citizens Cooperative Bank (CCB) has remained in the clutches of particular section of unscrupulous people who were repeatedly superseded by government on serious charges of mismanagement and acts of serious financial irregularities, State President, Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Rajiv Mahajan appealed to Governor N.N Vohra to dissolve the present Board of Directors (BoDs) of the bank and hold fresh elections which have been delayed for the last six months.
However, unscrupulous officers like Dinesh Gupta managed their repeated entries back to the bank for their ulterior and extraneous purposes despite several inquiry reports gathering dust in the files of Cooperative Department which are awaiting action against him for year together, said Rajiv Mahajan.
He also expressed shock that how High Court stayed the enquiry against the Chairman CCBL Dinesh Gupta without declaring the judgment of irregularities being done by Gupta, which the shareholders sought.
The tenure of management expired, he said adding that as per provision of J and K Cooperative Societies Act, the management/board should commence the process of elections before two months of the expiry but instead of discharging the legitimate duty of arranging democratic body, this board resumed charge again.
He demanded open enquiry against present board headed by Chairman CCBL, dissolution of board and fresh elections to be conducted at the earliest.
