VIJAYPUR: Criticising National Conference (NC) and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), former Minister and contesting candidate Manjit Singh on Wednesday expressed anguish over the negligence of industrial Estate in Samba District and growing unemployment among the youth.

Even as industrial sector has been given subsidy from Government, Singh speaking before the people in various public meetings, said the local youth being ignored.

“Instead of employing locals, the industries give jobs to the outsiders which are a major cause of unemployment among the locals,” Singh said, alleging that the sitting legislator has turned complete ignorance over the issue which has given rise to such things.

He said that when State Government is giving every possible help for the growth of industrial sector the locals should not be ignored and they should be given job opportunities as many as possible.

“The locals are engaged on job though a contract instead of direct employment which keeps them away from job benefits as employee,” he said, adding that this gives rise to exploitation and low salaries with no appointment letter.

Appealing people to give him a chance to serve them in Vijaypur Assembly seat, former minister said that he would make all possible efforts to improve present condition of industrial sector which has not progressed and remained victim of various issues.

“Their issues were not solved and underdevelopment kept them in crises,” Singh said. He further said that he would ensure that local youth to be employed in the factories and other sectors in Samba.

Manjit Singh, contesting candidate of Congress Party, said National Conference has ignored youth while on other side BJP has been supporting the rich and industrialists neglecting the needy and poor section of society which needs to be given benefits of the industrial sector.

He also said that both these parties mislead people with their hollow slogans and promises which have been exposed. For vote bank politics NC and BJP can go to any extent, he alleged.

He visited many villages and continued his extensive campaign.
