NEW DELHI/JAMMU: Indian Women U-20 Volleyball team left on Saturday for participation in the 22nd Asian Women’s U-20 Volleyball Championship to be held at Jiangmen, China from July 1 to 9, 2024.
In the championship, 13 teams including India, Chinese Taipei, Australia, Hong kong, China, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam are going to participate.
Indian team placed in pool-B and they will play against Japan and Hong Kong.
The team, comprising of 12 players and six officials, was Left from New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Chief Patron Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Daluja, President, Sidharth Daluja, besides other office bearers also wished Indian team best of luck for the championship.
The Team: Anjana Valappil, Bidisha Bala, Kavita, Nithisha Murugan, Aakansha Kanwal, Tanu Rathi, Niya Anil, Lisha Ghosh, Vedika Pralhad, Ananthi Arasu, Raksha Vinod Khenwar and Piyali Haith.
Officials: Kuldip Magotra (Manager), Hiralal Thankappan (Head Coach), Hema Ulhas Kelkar (Assistant Coach), Surinder Kumar (Assistant Coach).
