Indian team storms into finals of 21st Asian Men’s U-20 Volleyball C’ship

JAMMU: India produced a fine display to overcome the formidable Thailand hurdle to enter the finals of the 21st Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship which was held at Riffa, Bahrain.
As per reporter reaching here, led by Dushyant Singh, India beat Thailand 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-18 & 25-17) sets in a rather convincing manner to make the final.
The team will meet either Korea or Iran in the finals face tomorrow at 9:30 PM.
Captain of the team Dushyant Singh guided the team very well with Aman Kumar, Sameer Chaudhary, Ajeet Sheeko, Tanish, Harshit Giri, Sandeep and Sachin Dagar played their part extremely well which helped this outstanding result and ultimately entered into finals of the event.
With this historic win now India will also qualified to play FIVB World U21 Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023.
Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Member of Parliament & President, VFI, Ramavtar Singh Jakhar – Executive Vice President – CZ, AVC and Anil Choudhary, Secretary General, Sunil Tiwari – Treasurer and members of all the executive committee of the Volleyball Federation of India congratulated to all the players and Coaches G E Sridharan, Rajesh and Praveen Sharma and Manager for their tremendous and outstanding performance. Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta takes the vital role to prompt the players with all the smooth support in the coaching camp held since last 3 months.
Meanwhile, Patron-in-Chief, Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Daluja; President, Sidharth Daluja; Chief Executive Officer, Kuldeep Magotra; General, Secretary, V K Magotra; Treasurer, R C Sharma; Executive Vice President, H S Gill, Joint Secretary Mohd Tariq and other office bearers of VAJK also congratulated all players and officials for their decent performance in the Semifinal match against Thailand in 21st Asian U-20 Volleyball Championship and hope India will bring gold medal first time.
