NEW DELHI: The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan on Monday deliberated on various aspects of the May 10 understanding reached between the two sides on cessation of hostilities.
The talks over the hotline were previously scheduled at 12 noon. However, they started at around 5 PM.
“The The Director Generals of Military Operations-level talks have concluded. Further details are awaited and will be shared in due course,” the Indian Army said.
The understanding on cessation of hostilities was announced following talks between the two DGMOs on Saturday.
According to sources, issues related to continuing the commitment that both sides must not fire a single shot or initiate any aggressive and inimical action against each other were discussed.
It was also agreed that both sides consider immediate measures to ensure troop reduction from the borders and forward areas.
