India beat Pak: Jammu celebrates with crackers, sweets

Jammu: Jammu celebrated India’s victory over the arch rivals Pakistan in ICC World Cup T20 at Kolkata with bursting of crackers through the night.
As the news broke about India’s sixth victory in row over Pakistan in T20 match, youth went crazy riding the streets and people distributing sweets and exchanging greetings with nationalism overflowing the brims of emotions.
It was a decisive victory for India and MS Dhoni, who made the right call at the toss, and got more from his bowlers and fielders than Shahid Afridi, who may regret some of his decisions before and during the game – leaving out Imad Wasim, then putting himself in for an ineffective spell with the ball.
The mood has switched to one of celebration, so Kohli and Dhoni decide not to hang around any longer.
India now lead Pakistan 11-0 in limited overs tournament played, and have rescued their World T20 campaign. The entire city was glued to television sets, cheering as each Pakistani wicket fell, and expressing expert views on what India ought to do to win.
People celebrated with sweets, fireworks, greeting and congratulating each other. Some were seen carrying the Indian flags in joy, and even little kids joined in the fun.
There was lots of dancing, singing, and even some live music in various parts of the city.
In RS Pura along International Border (IB), the jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated by beating drums and dancing to the tunes of popular Bollywood songs. They also distributed sweets.
Army soldiers deployed along the Line of Control in Jammu region also celebrated the victory.
