JAMMU: Amid support of thousands of people, Independent candidate SSP retired Mohan Lal Kaith filed his nomination for the 80-Marh Assembly seat on Wednesday.
Supporters in large number assembled at Filling Station in Karloop. While speaking, Kaith said he will work hard to address the issues of the people, especially those of the Marh constituency. He emphasized that uninterrupted power supply, discouraging of smart meters installation, enhancement in old age pension, setting up of health care centres at panchayat level, recruitment of unemployed youth, setting up of PG college in Marh block and the implementation of all public welfare schemes will be top priorities on his agenda.
Kaith’s cavalcade, in the form of a roadshow, consisted of a large number of four-wheelers and two-wheelers, with thousands of people waving national flags and manners. The procession starting from the Filling Station in Karloop, passed through various villages and culminated at Marh. Enthusiastic youth from different corners chanted slogans in support of Kaith throughout the route. Accompanied by scores of jubilant supporters, Kaith reached the office of SDM Marh and filed his papers in presence of Ex Sarpanchs: Harjeet Singh, Balbir Singh, Lal Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Bindu Sharma, Puja Rani and other prominent figures.
After filing his nomination, Kaith expressed full confidence in his victory in the polls.
The people’s enthusiasm clearly indicates that the environment is in favor of Kaith this time, as they have tested all parties in the past and now want a change by electing him to power.
Kaith thanked the people for the huge participation in the rally from all parts.
