Thersse is a jocular saying that money makes the mare go. No doubt in this materialistic society we give more importance to money and wealth than anything else in our life. Because it is believed and experienced by all that only money can change the life of everybody as per its expectations. However there is not complete truth behind this notion.
But, we can’t ignore the importance of money in our life .our all the life comforts are related with it.
Our nation is blessed with billions of hands for work but sidewise it has also billions of mouths to feed. Our increasing population is creating a havoc for all of us. With this population explosion we are facing the crisis of comfortable living standard of individuals and their needs. Everybody wants to be rich on his life. But under such an alarming issues it is quite tough for everyone to give all the comforts to his children. In ignorance we generally took part in blind race of materialism and show off culture of our society.
Every parent is trying to give every facility to their children irrespective of their financial background. In this blind culture of leisure we generally skip to inculcate the good habit of money saving in the minds of our kids.
Especially for school going children we are promoting the culture of giving pocket money on regular basis. This is not an age old custom of our society but a new of its kind. However this custom is creating the habit of extravagant in our children. They generally believe that it is the duty of their parents to give pocket money, they take it a granted habit.
We can guide and counsel our children in this direction. We can aware them about the importance of saving money in our life. We can inculcate this habit in our children by many funny ways.
We can act as their creditors. On the saving of our children in their piggy banks we can give them many incentives or interest rate in a funny way. This funny act can create curiosity and eagerness in the minds of our children for money saving.
Instead of spending their pocket money on useless things and junk food items they can save their money in this funny way.
This thing further leads to develop a habit of good financer in our children. They can learn the ways and tricks to save the money for their future needs. As a parent it is responsibility of every one to inculcate the good habit of money saving in the minds of children. In order to change the mindset of our children it is very mandatory to create a sense of needs in their life.
If we will give every facility to them unasked then they will leave the habit of struggle and attempt. Culture of saving in their life can change the things and issues of their life in a more comfortable way.
Early intervention of parents and teachers is very mandatory in this direction. There is an urgent need to aware them about the demarcation between the wants and needs.
We can set saving goal for them as a facilitator and mediator. By adopting this concept of saving money children will learn the other allied habits of saving food, water and other precious things of their lives.
