JAMMU: State Executive meeting of Youth Congress as part of party’s Chintan Shivir was held under the leadership of Krishna Allavaru, Joint Secretary All India Congress Committee & Incharge Indian Youth Congress in Jammu on Tuesday. JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram Vice President, Yogesh Sawhney former Minister & General Secretary JKPCC, General Secretaries Manmohan Singh, Channi Singh, President PYC Udey Bhanu Chib and Secretary IYC Jagdev Gagga were also present in the meeting. State Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib along with other office bearers of Youth Congress also participated in the meeting.
Two-minute silence was observed in presence of Krishna Allavaru as a mark of respect for deceased in selective killings in Srinagar and brutal killing of Congress leader and singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Krishna Allavaru condemned the incidents of selective killings in Kashmir and death of Sidhu Moose Wala. He further demanded compensation from the government for bereaved families and NoKs of those killed in these incidents. He also sought strong security arrangements to be put in place to protect employees who are currently staying in vulnerable areas in J&K.
