IMS organises Business-Tech Fest ‘SPARDHA 2016’

JAMMU: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Gurha Brahmana organised Business-Tech Fest ‘SPARDHA 2016’ at the college campus.
The Business Tech Fest SPARDHA is being organised by the IMS since 2014 and is a vibrant platform where students, the budding managers of future, showcase their skills and abilities.
The fest was witness to an array of events with participation of students from The Business School, University of Jammu, Central University of Jammu, MIET and Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, JK College, Dogra Degree College, SPMR College of Commerce, GGM Science College and Trikuta College. Prof. Keshav Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest and Jai Kumar Sharma, Director, College Development Council, University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour during the inaugural function.
Besides Prof. Sameer Gupta, The Business School, Prof. M.R Rana, from University of Jammu and Annil Suri of Tawi Arc Electrodes and former President BBIA, Manish Anand and Rohan Anthal of Livguard Luminous from the Corporate sector graced the occasion. Prof. J.R Dhotra, Director IMS highlighted the achievements of IMS.
The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the institution in organising such an event for the benefit of the students under the guidance of Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, supported by Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman and Renu Bangroo, Managing Director IMS.
Vote of thanks for inaugural ceremony was presented by Tania Mengi, Assistant Professor, IMS.
The students of IMS presented colourful performances. B.C. Sharma, Director, The Business School, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function and Prof. Pavnesh Kumar Sharma, Department of Computer Sciences and IT, University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour.
Under the events for MBA students, MIET secured first position in business collage and treasure hunt while IMS was declared winner in business quiz, Ad mad show, perception of games, launch of product and extempore. In the events for BBA students, IMS secured first position in business quiz, Ad mad show, brain games and extempore. In the events for BCA students, IMS got first position in IT hub, IT bane or boon, LAN gaming and poster presentation while MAM college secured first position in battle of brains. IMS was adjudged the overall winner team of BBA, BCA and MBA events of SPARDHA 2016.
Later prizes and certificates were presented to the winners by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. The vote of thanks was presented by Nidhi Jamwal, Chief Coordinator, IMS.
