JAMMU: Young shooter from Jammu, Himanshu Gupta brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir through is impressive performance in the recently held India team selection trials five and six (Rifle events) at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
A trainee of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy Jammu, Himanshu shot a qualification score of 627.50 and secured Rank one in Youth, Junior and Rank three in Senior category, a handout issued by the Academy, here today mentioned.
These scheduled trials were conducted by National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) at MP State Shooting Academy.
Meanwhile, coaches Vishal Mehra and Aman Singh congratulated Himanshu and wished him good luck for future endeavours. “His dedication and consistent efforts in the right direction has proved him to be an inspiration for all,” said Vishal Mehra.
In the meantime, president Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA), S.S Sodhi, chairman Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sharat Chander Singh applauded him for this achievement.
