Impressive Shobha Yatra of Guru Ravi Dass taken out

JAMMU: An impressive Shoba Yatra was taken out ahead of Guru Ravi Dass Jyanti here on Wednesday.
A large number of people including men, women and children drawn from different parts of the Jammu region participated in the Shoba Yatra which was organised by All J and K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Jammu under the aegis of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj.
The Shoba Yatra was led by Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj from Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj, Krishna Nagar.
Hundreds of colourful Jhankis and thousands of devotees participated in Shobha Yatra and paid rich tributes to Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj.
While passing through different Bazaars viz Guru Ravi Dass Chowk, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, J.P Chowk, Vivekananda Chowk, Gurudwara Sunder Singh Road, Raghunath Mandir Chowk, City Chowk, Shalamar Hospital Road, Indira Chowk to J.P Chowk (Lower Gummat) to Bhagat Singh Chowk to Dogra Chowk and finally culminated at Gurudwara Shree Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj Krishna Nagar, Jammu
Students of different schools also participated in Shobha Yatra.
While speaking on this occasion President All J and K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Piran Ditta appealed to Sangat to follow the path shown by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. He stressed for the unity of Biradari.
Different stalls were arranged by different religious, political parties and different organisations/ Bazaar associations enroute of Yatra.
MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta also paid floral tributes to Guru Ravi Dass Ji and welcomed the Shobha Yatra at Indra Chowk and also distributed sweets and juice to the devotees.
Rajesh Gupta was accompanied by State Incharge SC Morcha N.D Rajwal, State Secretary Rakesh Sangral, District President SC Morcha Hardesh Khokar besides Manohar Lal Meenia, Faqir Chand Azad, Omnath, Ashok Gandhi, Vikas and Bishan Dass Naryal.
Rajesh said that Guru Ravi Dass Ji was an apostle of peace and brotherhood. He said that the Guru Ji spent his entire life in promoting brotherhood between various communities of the country. The teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji are more relevant today and we must draw continuous inspiration from them to build a more harmonious and inclusive society.
The prominent present on the occasion included Pardeep Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Rajinder Gupta, Rajkumar, Rajesh Nischal, P.C Gupta, Chaman Lal, Vinay Gupta, Hariom, Anita Gupta, Ashwani Mahajan and Amit Gupta.
