Impose Governor Rule in J&K: JTC

JAMMU: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front J and K urged President of India, Pranab Mukherjee to impose Governor Rule in J and K State as the militancy in Kashmir Valley for the last few months has increased and spreading over which is likely to prove harzadous for the nation as such early preventive measures are required to be taken to curb such forces.

A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J and K was held here on Tuesday under its President Shadi Lal Pandita.

Pandita also expressed concern over the waving off Pakistani flags by the separatists in Kashmir Valley during protests and rallies. He alleged that Kashmir belongs to Kashmiri Pandit community who are actual residents of the Valley and the miscreants have managed illegal occupation of the properties of Kashmiri Pandits thereby forcing them to leave their homes and hearths.

Pandita demanded three satellite townships in Kashmir Valley near Srinagar city for ensuring permanent and dignified rehabilitation of the Kashmiri migrant community in safe and secure places with grant of minority status and reservation in State Legislature as well as in Parliament.

The participants also sought comprehensive compensation of the losses being suffered by the community due to migration.

Others who were present in the meeting include Ved Lal Pandita, Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Chaman Lal Pandita, Ram Pandita, Rajinder Dhar, Sanjay Pandita, Ramesh Bhat, Hari Krishan, Methan Pandita, M.L Akhoon and M.L Pandita.
