Implement Seventh Pay Commission in J&K: NMC

 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Mentioning that the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission have been accepted and implemented in respect of Central Government employees and pensioners by the NDA Government at the Centre, President, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri, on Sunday urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take up the issue of implementation of the same in favour of employees and pensioners in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers meet here, Shastri said since many states especially J and K are going through financial crises, Prime Minister should make special provision so as to ward off any imbalance created on account of Seventh Pay Commission fallout and fulfill the commitment made by top brass of BJP leadership during parliamentary and J and K Assembly elections.
While appreciating the policies and pro people programmes of the Chief Minister, Shastri hoped that under her regime the benefits of Seventh Pay Commission will be provided to the salaried class and pensioners without any struggle.
“The State immediately needs special package for implementation of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations and the issue of 61,000 daily rated workers whose regularisation is pending despite rational recommendations in their favour. Only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister have the will to settle these burning problems,” Shastri further added.
Setting up of departmental wage head for disbursement of daily rated workers wages, enhancing monthly salary of daily wagers to Rs. 10,000 per month besides declaring Jammu and Srinagar in the list of 100 smart cities, early release of all pending wages of PWD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department etc were other demands highlighted in the rally.
Among others present were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Satinder Kumar, Mohd Shafi, Darshan Bawa, Suraj Parkash, Jai Pal Sharma, Pardeep Kumar and Raghupal.
