Implement SC decision on regularisation: Home Guards

JAMMU: State President, All J and K Home Guard Welfare Association, Kamala Sharma urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to implement Supreme Court of India decision for regularisation of services of Home Guards in the Jammu and Kashmir State at par with the Government of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab in letter and spirit giving relief to the Home Guards of the State.
Talking to reporters here today, Sharma said that long pending genuine demand of Home Guards of Jammu and Kashmir was brought to the notice of different ministers in Government of India including Rajnath Singh Union Home Minister wherein the authorities have assured them that the matter will be taken up with the State Government for implementation of the Supreme Court orders in letter and spirit at par with that of Government of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab etc.
“The Home Guards have been rendering their devoted services to the State for the past about 20 years but these have been ignored and deprived of regularisation of their services and presently meager wages are being paid to them which does not meet even few days meals of their family members,” she alleged. Kailash, Usha, Sanjay Kumar and Pawan Kumar were also present.
