STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Panun Kashmir expressed concern over the issues pertaining to the employees’ sector of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community and the present socio-political scenario viz.a.viz Kashmiri Pandits.
In the meeting held here on Thursday, leader of displaced employees, Pamposh Kaul sought support of KP leadership in the struggle for mitigating the problems of the displaced employees. He gave a detailed briefing on their concerns and also expected early resolution of the leave encashment on superannuation issue.
National Spokesperson Virender Raina, in his address, said that Panun Kashmir remains committed to the issues raised by the members of the delegation. “Over the years, unfortunately, the Kashmiri Pandits have been systematically eased out of the politico-administrative set-up of the State. This has to end so that the nationalist constituency gets a boost and also acts as a deterence against the disruptive forces,” he added.
President, Panun Kashmir, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo assured the participants that a number of issues are being pursued by the Panun Kashmir leadership at all appropriate levels. These include the issues like grant of leave encashment on superannuation to the displaced employees, salary and stay of displaced package employees, grant of scholarship to the displaced students under PM scholarahip scheme for J and K students, admission in the deemed university institutions under JK quota and HRA-CCA allowance to the displaced employees for which the Court has already issued the orders.
“There is also an imperative need to follow up the issue of implementation of Prime Minister Employment Package for displaced community in a renewed and reformed manner without draconian conditions,” he added. Delegations of displaced employees were also present in the meeting.
