Implement 7th PC after removing anti-employees features: JKCCTU

JAMMU: Condemning Neo-liberal economic and anti-working class policies of Central and State Government, J and K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) demanded implementation of Seventh Pay Commission (PC) after removing the anti-employees features like raising the minimum pay, abolishing of posts, downsising etc and with full parity with the Central Government employees regarding allowances and benefits. Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, State President JKCCTU, Mohd Maqbool appealed to all the employees organisations of the State to come forward and prepare themselves to launch a united struggle on the demands.
“JKCCTU has called the meeting of employees organisations on 21st December at Jammu to discuss the issue and to chalk out the united programme of action,” he said.
JKCCTU, being the only affiliate organisation of All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) from J and K State, has decided to send 32-member delegation including 10 women representing 14 departmental unions to attend the three days session of National council to be held at Kanpur (UP) from 15th-17th December 2016 under the leadership of Md Maqbool.
The senior State leaders who attended the press conference along with the delegation were Gurmeet Singh, Haji Gh Mohd, Ram Kumar, Farid Ahmed Mir, Manir Khan, Gh. Nabi Reshi, Hura Ji, Ruksana and Ajay Sharma.
