POONCH: Very closed to the Poonch Fort it is found that many buildings had been constructed on encroached land and many others are yet in the process pf encroaching. The president Poonch Development Forum (PDF) Nishu Sharma said that district administration has become failure in this regard. He said that it is a propagation in Poonch because of the carelessness of the district administration especially the Municipal Corporation Poonch.
Sources said that the construction is in process under hundred meters range of the Poonch Fort, as the Tourism Department has put a board near Poonch Fort which shows that no construction can be done under hundred meters of fort. Reporter took this matter with accountant Tourism Mohd Akram, he said that the concerned department has filed master plan and zonal plan for approval is with municipality under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Poonch.
Nishu Sharma demanded to stop this illegal construction, so that the beauty of Poonch town can be saved from illegal encroachment. Another person namely Rinku Sani said that many goons under the eyes of administration are breaking laws and silence of administration raises many questions. They demanded that the Governor should take strong action in this regard and stop the illegal construction in Poonch especially near Fort Poonch.
