IIFS confers Glory of India Award to Kavinder

JAMMU: Former Lok Sabha Speaker, Meira Kumar conferred ‘Glory of India Award-2017’ to Speaker J and K Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta at a function organised here on Saturday. Kavinder participated in a seminar on Economic Growth & National Integration organised by the India International Friendship Society at India International Center, New Delhi and was conferred with “Glory of India Award-2017. The NGO is working towards establishing unity and integrity among the people of Indian origin living around the world and aims to enhance India’s broad relationship, friendship & cooperation with countries across the globe and working towards bringing oneness and real understanding among people by strengthening the bond of peace, love and brotherhood.
The society presents awards annually to successful meritorious Indian personalities who have specialized in various fields like science and technology, education, industry, fine arts, politics and social work for the yeoman services rendered with excellence in their respective fields Addressing the dignitaries, Kavinder said it is indeed an honour to receive this award from the society of such high repute and the most importantly to join the Club of the personalities who have always been the source of inspiration for him, the lights of Beatified Mother Teresa, Former Vice President, B.D Jatti, General Bikram Singh, General J.J Singh among others who have received this award before for their selfless service towards the society.
