JAMMU: Taking a step forward towards the improvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular infrastructure for the benefit of students, the IECS Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp on Friday established an indoor sports complex within the institution premises.
The complex was inaugurated by Mohammad Shaffi Bhat, Joint Director, Technical Education, Jammu and Kashmir.
The complex provides facilities for Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom and other indoor games.
This facility is in addition to outdoor games for which the institution has well maintained play grounds.
Bhat, while addressing the faculty and students, appreciated the initiative taken by IECS for developing such facilities which are essential for the holistic development of the students.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended among others by Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman JGEI, Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic, Neetu Maini, Principal Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jammu and K.R Sharma, Principal North Polytechnic.
Ajay Jamwal, Dean Administration welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries and K.G Gupta, Principal IECS Polytechnic presented vote of thanks.
