ICSI Jammu holds teachers’ conference

JAMMU: Celebrating contribution of teachers and educators in shaping society and in appreciation of their significant role in building the future of the Nation, the Jammu Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) under the Chairmanship of Company Secretary, Sonia Chib, on Friday organised teachers conference cum faculty development program for giving impetus to Company Secretary Course in Jammu and Kashmir. Company Secretary, Vikram K Gupta, who is MD JK Minerals Limited, was the chief guest on the occasion. He lauded the contribution of teachers in the society. He apprised the gathering about the scope and domain of Company Secretaries while describing how it’s an exciting and promising career option. The Guest of Honour, Professor Pramod K Srivastav, Principal Model Academy School talked about the integrity and high ethical standards of teaching. He emphasized that a teacher should be a role model for the students.
On this occasion, Chairperson CS Sonia Chib and CS Nitin Gupta enlightened the gathering about CS profession. The event was also attended by Dr Atul Hans who is an author, Resource person of CBSE, Director Principal of International Daily Rising School Jammu. He emphasised that in today’s world if someone has to opt for his career one should prefer a skill based or vocational course or training as it allows students to gain practical experience in their chosen careers before they even graduate. He also threw light on implementation of NEP 2020 and the role of teachers.
