Humanity Public wins 32 medals in Taekwondo

BARI BRAHMANA: The students of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan brought laurels to the school by winning 32 medals in the Second Vishal Memorial Taekwondo Championship–2015, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA) at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, here.

In all, 32 students of Humanity Public school participated in it and had won eight gold, seven silver and 17 bronze medals. Besides medals, overall champions trophy in Junior Girls category was also clinched by the school.

In Girls group, Riya (3rd), Gurpreet (5th), Shefalika (6th), Mansi (8th) and Neha (9th) won gold medals; Jiya (3rd) and Manyata (5th) bagged silver medals while Niharika (1st), Bhoomika (2nd), Raksha (2nd), Sofia (3rd), Ishrat (4th), Anuradha (4th) and Navjyoti (8th) got bronze medals.

In boys group, Gurvinder (2nd), Deepak (6th) and Akash (8th) won gold medals; Pranav (1st), Munish (4th), Bhanu (7th), Akshay (8th) and Vikas (6th) bagged silver medals; Danish Angural (2nd), Sunny (2nd), Rahul (2nd), Vishal (5th), Sudhanshu (6th), Rohit (8th), Sahil (8th), Danish (8th), Krrish (1st) and Vansh (6th) got bronze medals.

The students of the school who participated in this Championship were received in the school premises by Gaurav Charak (Principal) along with Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Pankaj Mehra (Coach), Poonam Sharma (Coach) and the staff members.

Principal said that the school management is committed to promote Physical Education in school and in this regard sports infrastructure are being upgraded and enhanced in the school every year for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at various levels.
