SURANKOTE: Inter-school sports meet of Surankote Zone in two age groups of under-14 and under-17 (boys and girls) concluded at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Surankote, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
The competitions were held in the disciplines of volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho. Boys and girls drawn from various educational institutions took part in the tournament.
The competition was declared closed by Chief Guest, Mohd Mustaq Choudhary, Principal of the host school.
Others present were ZEPO Surankote, Jasbir Kour and other staff members of Surankote Zone.
The matches were officiated by Ab Majid Dar, Kulwant Singh, Rajinder Singh, Vipan Kumar, Mohd Rafi Dar, Pawan Kumar and Ayoudha Nath.
The results: Under-14 Boys: Volleyball: Army Goodwill School Potha beat GHS Sanai. Kabaddi: HS Sanai defeated GMS Kaller Kattal. kho-kho: HS Sanai outplayed Army Goodwill School Potha. Girls: Volleyball: MS Sanai beat MS Lassana. kho-kho: Army Goodwill School Potha outplayed MS Fagla.
Under-17 Boys: Volleyball: BHSS Surankote beat HS Ser-Khawaja. Kabaddi: HS Sanai defeated BHSS Surankote. kho-kho: HS Sanai outplayed GHSS Surankote. Girls: Volleyball: GHSS Surankote beat HS Sanai. kho-kho: HS Sanai outplayed GHSS Surankote.
