RAJOURI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in collaboration with its dealer M/s D.D Gas Agency on Saturday held an awareness camp on Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana here at Kotranka.
Launching the scheme during the camp, Anees J. Qari Deputy Manger Sales HPCL asserted that this will benefit five crore families across India till 2019.
“The cooking gas connection will not only help reduce cost for each family, but will also help to better the health of women. Providing LPG connections to BPL households will ensure wide coverage of cooking gas across the State”, he maintained.
Vinod Mahajan Proprietor DD Gas Agency Rajouri was also present. He also informed the local people about various features of this scheme. He said that Ujjwala Yojana offers a financial support of Rs 1,600 for each LPG connection to the BPL households and also provide a unique feature of loan for the customers. Around 150 applications were received during the camp.
