Hotel Asia to host Thai Food Festival today

JAMMU: Hotel Asia is coming up with 10-day Thai Food Festival at Oriental Restaurant ‘Yangtse’ and is all set to add some unique and new flavor for Jammuites from 2nd to 11th December.
Thai cuisine is one of the most popular cuisine of the world, as per Chef Naresh Dabral – Executive Chef of Hotel Asia that ‘Thai Cuisine’ is the perfect blend of chili hot spice like Galangle, birds eye chili sourness of lemon grass, cafer lime and tamarind, nutty flavor of coconut and peanut and delicate aroma of basil. “The spiciness of Thai cuisine is well known. As with other Asian cuisines, balance, harmony and variety are of great significance to Thai food. Thai food is known for its balance of three to four fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: sour, sweet, salty, and bitterness,” he said. “This time we are serving authentic Thai food with the culinary art of Chef Kroong Tana Nimnu a Master Chef from Bangkok, his mom is also a professional chef and he has learnt many recipes from her when he lived with her at North of Thailand. Chef Nimnu is having more than 15 years of expertise in Thai Cuisine, he chooses and creates the dishes to suit the taste of the guests,” he added. Some of the signature dishes are Tom Kha Kai (creamy coconut and chickensoup), Som tam (raw papaya salad, Tod Man Pla (Thai fish cake) and vanilla ice cream etc.
