JAMMU: Hiranagar Hockey Club to clash with Khalsa Warriors in final of Senior Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey J&K under the sponsorship of J&K Sports Council at KK Hakku Stadium, here tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
Earlier, in the first semifinal played on third day of the tournament on Friday, Hiranagar Hockey Club outplayed MBS Club by three goals to one. Rajinder Singh, Senior Vice President Hockey J&K was the chief guest during this match.
In another semifinal, Khalsa Warriors defeated BSB Club Poonch by four goals to nil. For Khalsa Warriors, 2 goals by Gagandeep Singh scored two goals while Karandeep Singh and Balmeet Singh scored one goal each. Manjeet Singh (Industrialist) was the Chief guest of this match.
Others present were GS Bakshi , Ishan Sharma (Treasure Hockey J&K), Daljit Singh (Executive Member Hockey J&K) , Gurpreet Singh (Vice President Hockey J&K), Tajinder Singh (Resident Secretary Hockey J&K), Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (General Secretary Hockey J&K), RP Singh Sarna and Matinderpal Singh (NIS Hockey coach Poonch). Today’s matches were officiated by a technical panel of Gurjeet Singh (Former International Hockey player & Hockey Coach JK Police), Iqbal Singh (NIS Hockey Coach J&K Police), D. Singh (NIS Hockey Coach), Jagjit Singh ( NIS Hockey Coach), Jasprit Singh and Balmeet Singh.
Meanwhile, organizers informed that Jathedar Mohinder Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament (Men) under the aegis of Hockey J&K will be organised soon in Jammu.
