JAMMU: In a petition filed by S.K Bhalla seeking withdrawal of security and accumulation of assets of Kewal Kumar Sharma, Forest Guard-cum-Additional PRO, on Monday, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat of J and K High Court after hearing Advocate S.S Ahmed with Advocate Rahul Raina appearing for the petitioner, observed that the status report has been filed by Home Secretary, perusal whereof brings it to fore that no guards and PSOs are deployed with Kewal Kumar Sharma as on date.
Advocate S.S Ahmed appearing for the petitioner has invited the attention of this Court to annexure – A to CMA No.2213/2014 which is the information provided by DySP, DAR DPL, Jammu to petitioner under RTI Act. Perusal of the information reveals that three men guard and four PSOs had been provided to Additional PRO K.K Sharma as per the directions of the Senior Officials. This information has been provided on 30th August, 2014.
It is submitted that Home Secretary, in his affidavit, has not indicated as to who are the officers, who provided the guards and PSOs of the strength of seven personnel to Additional PRO and under whose orders, the security was provided. Upon this Court directed Home Secretary shall file an affidavit in this regard within four weeks.
Justice Bansi Lal Bhat further observed that it also appears from the status report dated 18th December, 2014 filed by Home Secretary that grievance of petitioner with regard to accumulation of assets by K.K Sharma has been referred to General Administration Department for necessary action. Upon this Court directed Secretary General Administration Dept to file status report in regard to the action taken with respect to the allegations of accumulation of assets by Kewal Sharma within the same time frame.
