Srinagar: Security forces busted a terror hideout in the Pulwama district and arrested four militant associates, police said on Monday.
On a specific input, Police along with Army (42RR) and CRPF 180 Bn launched a cordon and search operation at Hafoo Nigeenpora forests. During search, a hideout used by terrorists was busted and subsequently destroyed. Incriminating materials and other items were recovered from the hideout.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 10/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Tral and investigation was initiated.
During the preliminary investigation, so far 04 terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT have been arrested. They have been identified as Arif Bashir Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Mohsin Ahmad lone son of Assadullah Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Wani son of Gh Mohiudin Wani and Irshad Ahmad Ahangar son of Abdul Gaffar Ahangar, all residents of Reshipora. They were involved in providing logistic support to active terrorists of LeT in the area.
Investigation of the case is going on and more arrests are expected.
