Heroin worth Rs 10 cr seized by BSF

Jalandhar:- During a special search operation, BSF personnel today found two packets of heroin, weighing a kilogram each, buried in a field along the India-Pakistan border in Ferozepur sector of Punjab.

BSF Punjab Frontier PRO R S Kataria said the contraband is worth Rs 10 crore in the international market.

In a statement here, Kataria said the BSF launched a special operation today in D T Mal Border Outpost area based on a tip off.

The jawans found the two packets buried in a field in the area, he said.
