JAMMU: With competition still at the preliminary stages across five sports disciplines of Kabaddi, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Basketball and Fencing, the day-two of the annual inter-college competitions of University of Jammu (JU) witnessed hectic schedule on the JU campus here today.
Two popular sporting events of Volleyball and Kabaddi witnessed maximum participation from the affiliated colleges of JU while Basketball and Fencing have comparatively lesser teams in this meet.
The event is being hosted by the Directorate of Sports, JU under the guidance of different teams led by the Director, Dr Dawood Iqbal Baba.
BASKEBALL MEN: G.D.C Kunjwani beat ASCOMS by three pts; BDC Udhampur beat G.D.C Doda by 13 pts; GDC Kathua beat GDC Udhampur by two pts. WOMEN: G.C.W Parade beat M.I.ET by 23 pts and P.G. Departments beat G.D.C Khilotran by eight pts.
TABLE TENNIS MEN: P.G. Departments beat GDC Mender 3-1; G.D.C Udhampur beat G.D.C Mahanpur 3-0; G.C.E.T Jammu beat G.D.C Ramban 3-1; M.I.E.T Jammu beat G.D.C Hiranagar 3-1. WOMEN: P.G. Deptt. beat G.C.W. Parade 3-0; G.D.C Ramnagar beat G.M.C Kathua 3-0. Today’s matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid and Sahil Malgotra.

Departments beat G.D.C Mahanpur by 20 pts; G.D.C Basholi beat G.D.C Marheen by 15 pts; M.I.E.T beat G.D.C Rajouri by 22 pts; G.D.C Akhnoor beat T.D.C Nowshera by 11 pts; G.D.C Khatua beat I.M.P Patoli by 21 pts; G.D.C Samba beat G.N.C Kishtwar by 17 pts; G.D.C R.S. Pura beat G.D.C Khour by 13 pts; G.D.C Kunjwani beat G.C.E.T by 18 pts; G.D.C Hiranagar beat K.C. Law College by 17 pts; G.D.C Reasi beat G.D.C Ramgarh by 14 pts; G.D.C. Baderwah beat G.D.C Doda by nine pts.
