JAMMU: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh on Thursday announced its Winter Vacation, which will be observed from January 1 to January 24, 2026, both days inclusive.
“It is notified that the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will observe the Winter Vacation with effect from 1st of January, 2026 to 24th of January, 2026 (both days inclusive). The period commencing from 1st to 10th of January, 2026 shall be No Work Period for the High Court,” reads an order issued by M.K Sharma, Registrar General, High Court of J&K and Ladakh.
“In terms of Rule 12 of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Rules, 1999 the Chief Justice has been pleased to nominate Justice Sanjay Parihar from January 12 to 17, 2026 and Justice Rajesh Sekhri from January 19 to 24, 2026 for Jammu wing and Justice Shahzad Azeem from January 12 to 17, 2026 and Justice Mohd Yousuf Wani from January 19 to 24, 2026 for Srinagar Wing of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh to be the Vacation Judges to hear all matters of urgent nature for the period,” it added.
