Haryana Govt committed to improve health care: Health Minister Anil Viz

The BJP government in Haryana is committed to improve health services for the common man in the state, Health Minister Anil Viz said here today.

“We will overcome the staff shortage by recruiting 400 doctors… Most of the hospitals at present are operating without doctors,” Viz told reporters after meeting Govardhan Peethadhishwar Krishna Das Kanchan Ji Maharaj.

He attributed the miserable condition of health care in the state to the poor fund allocations. Only two per cent of the total budget was allotted for health care by the previous government, Viz said.

The minister said 60 thousand acres of land had been acquired by the erstwhile Congress government and “every inch of the land acquired will be probed”.

Vij, who is also in charge of Youth affairs and Sports departments, said like the new sports policy, the government would bring new youth policy after consulting youths of different areas and experts.

“In new youth policy, attempt would be made for skill development of youths,” he said.

The government has decided for digitalisation of sports department for transparency.

On the conversion row, the minister said there is no harm if the conversion is done voluntarily. However, the Constitution does not permit conversion under pressure or allurement, he added.
