Harish Dhami appointed UFDC chairman of Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation

Dehradun, Nov 12 (PTI) Former Dharchula MLA Harish Dhami, who vacated his seat for Chief Minister Harish Rawat to contest from there, has been appointed the new Chairman ofUttarakhand Forest Development Corporation

.

The order for Dhami’s appointment to the post was issued by Principal Secretary (Forest) Ranbeer Singh late last night, official sources said here today.

Dhami has also been given the status of a cabinet minister.

He had vacated Dharchula seat to pave the way for Chief Minister Harish Rawat to contest from there to make his entry into the state Assembly in a bypoll held in July this year.

The post of Forest Development Corporation Chairman was vacant ever since Congress MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion quit it a few months back.
