Harbans Bhalla Trust provides succour to poor children

JAMMU: A seven days scholarship distribution camp organised by Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) commenced here on Monday.
Over 76 children took part during the first day of the camp. HBET is supporting education for the girl child in rural areas of Jammu region. A. P Sachdeva, staunch supporter of the Trust, was the Guest on the occasion.
Sachdeva informed the students about the benefits of education and advised them to make full use of scholarship and support provided by the trust.
Trust also conducted Medical and Counselling of the students to know about their health and interest in studies.
The Trust which is fostering a mission to change lives of needy children through literacy support programmes has been providing scholarships and conducting various other child welfare schemes for the past 17 years. Over 89 per cent children are from rural areas. A total of 500 children will receive scholarships in the seven days camp.
The Trust supports needy and deserving children with renewed passion to remove ignorance and darkness from their lives by providing the light of education.
