JAMMU: Halwai Association Jammu assured to citizen of Jammu that they would provide best quality of food items to the citizens. Talking to reporters, Nek Ram, President of the Association, advised all the shopkeepers to follow the instructions strictly to ensure safe, hygienic, healthy and good quality of sweets/ food items to safe guard the interest of customers.
He requested them to follow guide lines/norms of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 strictly, keep their business places/workshops neat and clean, purchase and use standard quality of raw material for perpetration of sweet, display and store stocks in the counters/refrigerators, do not use chemicals which are harmful of health and prohibited under FSSAI, ensure dust free items, avoid colours, if required use permissible food colours in small quantity, stick to the rates fixed by department, give contents to satisfaction of the customers and display price, quality and quantity of all packed items.
