Guv invites JK’s outstanding achievers to ‘At Home’

JAMMU: Governor N. N Vohra on Wednesday invited J&K’s outstanding achievers for the Republic Day Celebration ‘At Home’ function to be held at the Convention Centre, Jammu. The achievers who have been invited for the function include expert Marksman and J&K’s first Olympian Chain Singh; Gold Medalist, in World Kick Boxing Championship Tajamul Islam; U-14 Commonwealth Chess Champion Meenal Gupta; 2nd Asian Rollball Championship, (Gold Medalist) Rakshak Jandiyal; Gold medalist in Asian Youth Karate Championship Hashim Mansoor; Silver medalist in 2nd Asian Rollball Championship Garvita Gupta; Silver medalist in 9th Asian Wushu Championship Rajinder Singh; Silver medalist in 2nd Asian Rollball Championship Ankita Chopra; Silver medalist in World Master’s Challenge 8th Wushu Sanda World Cup Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Specially-abled Skater, Bronze medalist at National Skating Championship Chandeep Singh.
The special invitees also include Lt. Col. Ranveer Singh Jamwal, who conquered over 20 Peaks; Parvez Rasool, Cricketer, Tsering Angmo, Tashi Laskit, Rigzin Dolkar and Stanzin Laskit who scaled World’s highest peak Mount Everest; Zaira Khan, actress; Aman Dogra, who represented in Asian Youth Sport Climbing Competition; Tarun Gandotra, who represented in World Inline Hockey Championship; Dhananjay Singh Charak, who represented in 8th World Body Building & Physique Sports Championship; Sahil Gupta, who represented in Asian Roller Hockey Championship; Vansh Mahajan, who represented in Thailand and Hong Kong Open Fencing Championships and Champion Cyclist Mohammad Akbar Khan.
