Gurpurab celebration: Impressive ‘Nagar-Kirtan’ taken out in Simbal Camp

JAMMU: An impressive ‘Nagar- Kirtan’ was taken out on Monday by Sikh community members and other people in Simbal Camp here under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch in connection with the 356th Parkash Purb of 10th Guru of Sikhs, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
The ‘Nagar- Kirtan’ started from Ward No 5, Simbal Camp in the morning around 10.30 AM and culminated at Indra Nagar at 5: 00 PM. Despite bone chilling cold, thousands of people participated in the grand religious procession.
During the procession Ragi Jathas of Bhai Daljit Singh, Bhai Gurpreet Singh, Bhai Hasanpreet Singh, Bhai Harbans Singh, Bhai Swaranjit Singh, Bhai Karamjit Singh, Bhai Harnit Singh, Bhai Angrez Singh and Bhai Ranjit Singh recited the Gurbani Shabads.
The Parcharaks Bhai Narinder Singh and Bhai Sandeep Singh threw light on the life of Guru Gobind Singh by historical facts of life long struggle for the upliftment of downtrodden and suppressed people of the time.
A large number of Sikh Sangat without caste and creed participated. The Nagar Kirtan was organized by Sikh Naujwan Sabha Simbal Camp with the corporation of Jammu and adjoining location of the area.
Nagar Kirtan was passed through Simbal Camp, Tali Morh, Miran Sahib, Brij Nagar and culminated at Guru Sri Harikrishan Sahib, Indra Nagar.
The Gatka Parties from Punjab and Jammu also played the Sikh religious games on the roads where the Nagar Kirtan route was fixed.
The Leaders of various Sikh Organizations of J&K Political and social organizations also welcome the Nagar Kirtan.
The prominent who participated various organizations J&K, Sudershan Singh Wazir, Mohinder Singh, Darbinder Singh Rajinder Singh, Raja Singh, Ravinder Singh, Kulwant Singh Khajuria, Surjeet Singh Kukoo, Parveen Singh, Jasbir Singh Cashier, Mohinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Tarlok Singh, Malkit Singh (Raman), Paramjeet Singh, Narbir Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Daljeet Singh and Gurbir Singh.
