UDHAMPUR: Residents of village Gulban locality of block Panchari held a protest against the Power Development Department on Tuesday at Kainthgali-Mongari Road in Panchari for its failure to restore power supply in their locality.
Protestors raised slogans against the department and urged the local administration and concerned department to ensure power supply. Protestors said that few days back an electric transformer installed in their locality developed some technical snag and till date department has failed to get it replaced or repaired. They urged higher ups of the department to restore power supply in the affected areas earliest so that people of the locality can heave a sigh of relief otherwise people will be forced to come on road in big way. Receiving the information Tehsidar Panchari rushed to the spot and assured them that their genuine issue will be taken with concerned quarter for its early redressal.
