Gul sits in the well on speaker’s chair

JAMMU:After losing Speakers chair National Conference MLA from Idgah Assembly segment Mubarak Gul on Monday ran a parallel assembly and occupied high chair, but in the well of the house, after speaker Kavinder Gupta adjourned the house amid uproar over sacrilegious act in Kathua.
As the treasury benches were empty the opposition members decided to hold  a mock assembly accusing the alliance govt of running away from the debate in the house.
Gul was provoked by another MLA from Devsar Amin Butt as he kept a chair in the well of the house before inviting him to occupy the same before starting the proceedings of the house.
Senior Congress MLA and former Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori started the house proceedings by raking the issue of announcing Judicial probe into 2016 Kashmir uprising. He said that if government was right in claiming innocence, then the Mehbooba Mufti government should not shy away from judicial probe to fix the responsibility on guilty.
Congress MLA Usman Majeed, Vikar Rasool Wani and NC MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi and Devinder Rana also addressed the mock assembly and slammed the government from running away from debate. They also condemned the harassment of Gujjar community by government and growing influence of RSS, besides advised them to desist from such tactics which are only aimed at suppressing the poor people living in the forest. The mock Assembly ran for nearly 25 minutes before Gul called it a day.
