Gujjar Nagar residents host Iftaar party

JAMMU: An Iftaar party cum public meeting was organised on the eve of Ramadan by the residents of Gujjar Nagar which was attended by large number of people and dignitaries irrespective of their caste, colour and creed.
The party cum meeting was organized with a motive to send a message of peace and communal harmony among the Jammuites as it was attended by the people of various communities.
IGP Jammu Danesh Rana, DIG Jammu-Kathua Ashkoor Wani, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh and SSP Sunil Gupta were the Special Guests on the occasion. They were also accompanied by SHOs of Police Stations including Gujjar Nagar, Peer Mitha, Nowabad, Bus Stand and Jammu City.
The party was jointly hosted by Rafiq Malik, Babar Mughal, Mohd Hussain Malik, Arif Noor, H.S Rana, Girdari Lal and O.P Sham and its preparations were finalized by Kulwant Singh, Zumma Khan and Rafiq Khan.
Lauding the residents of Gujjar Nagar for this endeavour, Danesh appealed to the youth to abstain themselves from the growing menace of drugs. He also urged the parents to remain cautious on the issue to save the generation next.
Simrandeep applauded Gujjar Nagar residents for their initiative to promote camaraderie and bonhomie among people.
