JAMMU: On the last day of Goods and Services Tax (GST) week celebrations to mark the 6th anniversary of GST Implementation, under the guidance of Rashmi Singh, Commissioner State Taxes Department, J&K and Namrita Dogra, Additional Commissioner, Administration & Enforcement, Jammu, Ritu Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner Enforcement(Central) Jammu along with Chander Mohini, STO and Central Enforcement team laid Naka at various locations of Jammu city and appreciated and felicitated the drivers of commercial vehicles for carrying E-way bills and proper documents along with goods in transit.
Flowers and Refreshment were distributed among drivers as a token of appreciation for carrying E-way bills and proper documents.
Awareness among drivers was also generated to always carry proper documents with goods.
The overall purpose of this appreciation-cum-awareness drive was to infuse the message among the drivers about the importance of carrying E-way bills and proper documents along with goods which will help in curbing evasion of tax and ultimately lead to the development of nation.
