GRP restores run-away girl to family

JAMMU: Men of GRP Jammu on duty at Platform No. 1 found one girl of age about 14 years under disturbed condition. On the directions of Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu the said girl was brought to Police Station GRP Jammu where she was politely dealt by lady police in a homely atmosphere and her whereabouts were obtained. According to her version she fled from her home on 3rd June 2015 due to the reason that despite achieving good result in 8th class she could not get admission in a school of her choice. On this, she got disappointed and left her home. Her parents at Gaziabad UP were accordingly communicated regarding her presence. The girl was handed over to her guardians after proper documentation under rules.

Meanwhile, GRP Jammu personnel deployed at Railway Station Jammu also found a boy of age about 22/23 years roaming at Railway Station. They took him to Police Station GRP Jammu with a view to save him from falling in bad hands. After deliberations, his whereabouts were obtained. It came forth that the boy namely Ghulam Mustafa Mir, resident of Kupwara had a scuffle with his parents due to which he left his home.  His family members were contacted and he shall be handed over to his parents/guardians after proper documentation under rules.
